Nana Ruegebrink
The drawings and paintings tickle the inner child, take you to a carefree universe, where you don't have to worry about the mortgage and where the dew lays drops off starlight on large, dark green leaves.
In addition to painting and drawing, she also photographs and writes short stories.
She is an autonomous artist who lives and works in Zutphen, graduated in the 1990s at the Aki (Artez Enschede)
After years of silently working on short stories, intimate drawings and paintings, she decided to put herself out there again.
Her visual language is abundant in what can best be summarised as 'domestic magic'.
It is juicy, narrative work.
